Cable End Module
Cable End Module (CEM)
ELFO Cable End Module is a modular design combining multiple functions into one product. The main purpose is to distribute optical or electrical signals from the umbilical cable to wet-mate connectors for distribution of power and communication subsea. The module can be equipped with parking connectors and looped connectors for test purposes subsea. In addition this design includes drums for coiling of optical and electrical jumpers (OFLs/EFLs). Jumpers and connectors are installed and tested inhouse, and limit time consuming work during commissioning and deployment.

Technical Description
The ELFO Cable End Module is based on a modular design consisting of 4 main subassemblies. In accordance to your requirements the structure can be configured to include various variants of:
• MTU – Mechanical Termination Unit including bend stiffener or restrictor
• OCT/ECT – Optical or Electrical Cable Termination
• Jumpers (Electrical and Optical Flying Leads)
• Wet-mate Connectors
Options for Bullseye / Transponder bucket are available for secure deployment. Mudmat will be calculated and designed in accordance with the seabed soil conditions. For handling and lifting the CEM is equipped with interfaces for forklift truck and pad eyes for crane lifiting.
Why choose ELFO?
With this modular design major part of the assembly and termination work can be done inhouse. The jumpers are coiled and secured inside the structure, resulting in minimum handling and testing of jumpers during commissioning. During deployment the CEM acts as a jumper installation basked. Jumpers are ready to be pulled and connected by ROV as soon as the structure is securely placed at seabed.
